HAY GAIS, here’s a shitty tutorial/progress thing on how I make colored pencil drawrings.

1) start with a sketch-I hate this part because I can’t draw with regular pencils, as I just end up making a mess. This part usually takes as long as the color work. I use a regular mechanical pencil, a tissue for blending, and a kneaded eraser for highlights. 

2) Outline the pencil in usually orange or a greenish blue colored pencil. I like orange, its a color that works for everything. 

3) Start to erase the pencil work, and start lightly adding in colored pencil colors. 

4) Start to blend in those light layers with a white or in this case, a very light pale green to smooth things out. 

5) Establish a base color coat to work with, start to smooth out everything.

6) Start adding in the little details like hairs, pores, freckles and highlights over the base layer.

7) Repeat process until done! (which is code for I forgot to take other progress photos, but really, its just doing those steps until you have a finished drawing)
